The vision behind JRA Training and Consulting is to provide quality support to adults who work with young people, although we also work with adults in other sectors and directly with young people from time to time.
We work throughout the NorthWest and occasionally further afield.
‘JRA Training and Consulting’ has been recognised by HMRC as a trading name since 2008, but began in earnest as a full time business in 2019.
John is our lead trainer. He trains in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, and Body Language.
John has been working with young people since 1999, he has been training adults since 2001, and has been involved in First Aid since the early nineties. He has worked in primary and secondary schools as well as voluntary youth groups and residential youth centres. He has also worked on national projects, and is a published author. Before going full time with JRA, he spent five years working in a regional role, training and supporting youth leaders across more than a hundred churches.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Social policy, and a Masters Degree in theology, which focused on education.
John is married with a young family and lives in Cumbria.
We don’t currently have any other full-time staff, but we employ freelance trainers and other agencies as needs dictate.
